We recently held a company-wide meeting where all the Ian’s Pizza managers from all the restaurants (along with those interested in management, and maybe some who were just plain curious) came to two days of discussions. Everyone talked, and listened, to where Ian’s was going, and where the company was with regards to what was decided last time we met as a group in December of 2008.
That meeting is where we came up with our original 2020 Vision, which is just a funny name for what we wanted our goals, as a company, to be. How did we envision growth? Where would that growth be? Who would be managing the growth? We didn’t worry too much about how feasible the Vision was, we just wrote down what we wanted to see happen, both individually and as a company. Out of that came the 2020 Vision that is on our website, and also these videos.
Well, this latest meeting didn’t spawn any videos (not yet, anyway) but it did touch on the continuing topics of growth and where Ian’s is heading. A few things have changed; some people have stepped up, some new faces have arrived, and some others have moved on, but it was a good two days and as always, was very exciting to look ahead and see what the future could hold.
