Ian’s Pizza is a work-hard/play-hard company, and since we have been working hard all summer we decided it was time for the play-hard part of the equation…So on August 10th, 2015 we decided to close all four Wisconsin restaurants for the day and have a staff appreciation party. With the Ian’s Pizza family descending on our owner’s farm in Brooklyn, WI, Ian’sStock was born.
Food. It wouldn’t be a party without good food! We can’t pass up a chance to send a special shout out to the amazing food vendors that helped feed us and fuel our party.
El Grito Taqueria served up some amazing steak, pork, and vegetarian tacos. Look for them on the streets of Madison — they are a new food truck and you’ll want to check out their website for where they will be next. You will not be disappointed! www.elgritotaqueria.com
Banzo also has a food truck and they were there serving fully-loaded pita sandwiches and possibly the world’s best falafel (no exaggeration…). Along with their truck, Banzo has a restaurant at 2105 Sherman Ave. in Madison and they are available for catering events (which we would strongly recommend). Delicious! www.banzomadison.com
And don’t forget dessert! Trust us, we didn’t. Calliope Ice Cream came through and graced us with their Brandy Old Fashioned, Hearty Breakfast, and Lemon Lavender ice creams to cool us down and keep the party going. Plus they had whipped cream, butterscotch, and sprinkles — what’s not to love? Calliope Ice Cream can be found at all Wisconsin Ian’s Pizza locations and select grocery stores throughout the Madison area. www.calliopeicecream.com
Entertainment. Our talents extend to beyond just pizza and we tend to be a creative bunch. Ian’s Pizza staff and friends got to showcase their talent on the Ian’sStock main stage! Performances included: Blaq Merlin (Ian’s Milwaukee); Alberto Gloria (Ian’s Madison); Exploding Suns (With Gusto); Derp (Ian’s Madison); and one song to close out the evening by the Derp/ M.U.T. Show Fusion Project.
Good Times. The farm was filled with smiling faces all afternoon. Activities included, but were not limited to: staff volleyball, six corn hole courts, frisbee, slip and slide flip cup (must be seen to be believed, trust us), petting and feeding cows, relaxing, rocking out to sweet bands, and meeting new members of the Ian’s Pizza family.
HUGE THANK YOU to the Frautschy Family for allowing us to host this epic party on their farm. This was truly a day for the Ian’s history books, and we can’t wait for Ian’sStock Part 2 (and our chance to take gold at slip and slide flip cup).
