Being from Wisconsin isn’t so bad. Despite the frigid winters that seem to last for nine months straight or the endless amounts of cows that take over the plethora of rural landscapes, there’s still a whole lot to love in the land of cheese and beer. So every August, we like to showcase one of our favorite parts about Wisconsin: the amazing local farmers that help make our pizzas so fresh and delicious.
We don’t know about you, but at Ian’s Pizza, we try to prioritize all things local and fresh. So we decided to find the best mozzarella, tomato and basil farmers in Wisconsin and combine them to make a one-of-a-kind slice that’s as simple as it is satisfying. We like to call this special August slice Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato and Basil, or FMTB for short. Special shout out to Farmer John Cheese for the fresh mozz, the Elderberry Hill Farm for the perfectly ripe tomatoes and last but not least, Renaissance Farms for the incredible basil. We have partnered with these farms for years so we are more than thankful for their support. Without them, this monthly special wouldn’t exist.
Eggplant, Zucchini, & Sweet Corn. Oh My!
The FMTB may be available all month long, but you’ll have to move quick to get a taste of the rotating weekly specials in August. Featuring locally produced squash, sweet corn, onions, eggplants, tomatoes, and more, we think these vegetarian (and sometimes vegan!) specials really showcase the flavors of summer in the Midwest.
Show Local Farmers Some Love
