2016 has been a year of some pretty big changes at Ian’s, although one change that we haven’t really talked about much (strangely enough) is a new addition to our signature pie lineup.

Every summer we start meeting to talk about menu changes for the next year, and 2015 was no exception. Lots of meetings, lots and lots of talking, and lots of taste tests (not exactly hardship!) later we decided on a new signature pie for 2016 — the SH-BAM!

Okay, so why and what is SH-BAM, you ask?

Well, first off, we are pretty big fans of comics and you have to admit that SH-BAM is a pretty awesome action word! Secondly, SH-BAM is an acronym for all the ingredients on our pizza – Sweet potatoes, Harissa pepper blend, Broccoli, Artichokes hearts, and button Mushrooms – all piled on top of a marinara base along with gooey mozzarella cheese.

We make our Harissa blend specially for this pizza, and it definitely packs a punch!. While it’s a new flavor around here, Harissa is used widely in North African and Middle Eastern cooking. Like all our food, every ingredient on top of the SH-BAM is prepped daily to ensure freshness and give it that perfect, well, SH-BAM!
