(The following is a letter from Justin, Ian’s Denver’s General Manager.)
Hello ladies and gentlemen, my name is Justin Reinders. I have been working with Ian’s Pizza for almost 3 years now, and I can honestly say, I love my job. I have since day one. When I arrived as a green, albeit hard-working, delivery driver, I was overwhelmed by how fast-paced and exciting my job was. I love being busy, always having something to do, and the rush of trying to get people their pizzas as quick as possible made the job extra fun. Not only did I love my job, I fell in love with the people I worked with. I have always felt that Ian’s is a big family. When I arrived, I was welcomed with the open arms of these caring, amazing people. They took notice of hard work, and made sure you knew when you were or weren’t carrying your weight. I have such respect for that. I knew this was the job for me then, and now I am on the verge of becoming the General Manager of the newest Ian’s Pizza in Denver.
It has been hard for me to contain my excitement since Elliot popped the question, “Would you be interested in being the GM if we opened a store in Denver?” I remember him asking me, during a rather informal meeting at my house in Riverwest. I was floored. My instant answer was, “YES!”. I have always dreamed about being a part of starting up a business, and to be able to do it in such a beautiful place as Denver, it was hard to believe at first. The things that endeared me to Ian’s on North Ave — hard work, honesty, love and friendship — are all things that we will continue to perpetuate at Ian’s Pizza Denver. I feel as if my whole life has lead me here, and my soul feels as if it has re-awakened. I know the day we open the door, with the sun shining down upon us, I will be where I was meant to be. With all my Ian’s brothers and sisters standing with me, we will bring our exciting brand of pizza to all the shiny, happy people of Denver. I can’t wait to hear about your first bite of Mac n’ Cheese pizza, Denver!
